Funding Opportunities

The REE program accepts a diverse range of project scales from small, exploratory projects to large scale investigations with a broad, systemic scope; project budgets should match the project scope.  Small-scale, exploratory projects with high transformative potential are strongly encouraged.  The estimated number of awarded proposals is based on a projected average funding level of approximately $100,000 per project per year.   All PIs should discuss the budget of proposed projects with a cognizant program officer before submission.

Apply now for Colocation America’s STEM Innovation Grant, which provides funding to nonprofit charitable organizations in order to foster youth engagement in STEM learning, especially for underrepresented groups in the field such as females and minority students. Selected programs will be awarded up to $7500 to support purchasing materials, staff stipends, field trips, and resources. The deadline to apply is March 27, 2015. 

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program rewards students who have succeeded both inside and outside of the classroom—and who may not be able to attend college without financial assistance. It’s a reward for what you’ve made of yourself and the difference you are making for others.

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program is offering:

• Up to $25,000 per year for 50 first-time freshmen or existing college students, renewable for up to four years and one additional year for those entering a qualified five-year engineering program

Apply now for the National Science Foundation’s Research in Engineering Education funding opportunity to expand your high-quality engineering education ecosystem. Funds can total up to $100,000 per year for a time period of two to four years. The National Science Foundation is dedicated to supporting the needs of a constantly changing society and economy through promoting stronger science education. Institutions of higher education, non and for profit organizations, state and local governments, and individual scientists, engineers, or educators are eligible to apply for consideration.
