About the STEM Committee

The STEM Committee of the California Afterschool Network is a dedicated group of professionals sharing information, resources, promising practices, as well as a shared work plan intended to advance STEM in out-of-school time in California.  This Committee was recently approved by the California Afterschool Network Leadership Team to begin its work.

Why Participate Actively in the STEM Committee?

  • Join a community of leaders in STEM in Out-of-School Time (OST) in California.
  • Inform and influence the field of STEM in OST, as well as the work of a statewide organization (the California Afterschool Network) in a three year initiative to help the field in implementing high quality STEM learning opportunities in OST.

Sign up to stay connected and informed

We understand that you may not be able to commit to active participation at this time. Anybody is free to sign up to stay connected and informed about the work of the committee. Individuals that sign up to stay connected and informed will not have input to the work plan of the committee or the benefits of committee membership. Such individuals will receive regular information about committee work including committee meeting notes, and some advanced information regarding STEM in OST resources.
