Leading for Early Success: Building School Principals' Capacity to Lead High-Quality Early Education is a research report by the National Governors Association (NGA) that highlights the push of state leaders to redefine what elementary school principals must know & do through better standards & licensure requirements, as well as to establish tougher state accreditation standards for principal preparation programs & to ingrain early childhood education into such programs.
