As part of the Jumpstarting STEM Pilot, this webinar is to help support frontline staff in their implementation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathmatics) curriculum. For the Center Stage Math webinar, we were able to have two guest speakers: Dr. Diana Dumetz Carry from ETA/ Cuisenaire and Kelly Stowers from the California Afterschool Network. Diana gave some great background information about Center Stage Math, discussed some success stories, and had some great strategies for staff to be successful in the implmentation of the curriculum.
As part of the Jumpstarting STEM Pilot, the purpose of this webinar is to provide after school programs with different strategies when aligning STEM curriculum with the regular instructional day. We were able to have two fantastic guest speakers: Jarred Shell from Ontario Montclair School District and Darlene Mosher from Pomona Unified School District. They shared their current strategies to ensure alignment, promising practices, common challenges, and success stories to help sustain STEM in after school programs.

As part of the Jumpstarting STEM Pilot, this webinar is to help support frontline staff in their implementation of Discovery Science Center's Future Scientists and Engineers of America (FSEA) curriculum. The webinar features two guest speakers: Janet Yamaguchi from the Discovery Science Center of Orange County and Ashley Walden, the Site Coordinator, for THINK Together's after-school program at Marjorie Veeh Elementary School. Both guest speakers gave a brief synopsis of their work with FSEA, and they both surfaced common challenges implementers face when implementing the curriculum while also providing strategies to overcome those challenges. This webinar will be useful for all after-school programs in the Orange County area that are looking to connect with community partners, to further professional development opportunities, and to utilize hands-on engineering and science curriculum.

This online, video-based professional development resource is designed to empower expanded learning program staff to build 20 essential skills needed to facilitate high quality STEM learning opportunities in expanded learning programs.

Imani Lucas is a Site Supervisor for Martin Luther King Technology Academy located in Sacramento, California. He discusses how Fantasy Baseball is implemented in his program as well as offering helpful suggestions and tips for staff implementing Fantasy Baseball. This webinar will be useful for all after-school programs looking to introduce an integrated math program, to further professional development opportunities for staff, and to utilize interdisciplinary, hands-on, and standards aligned curriculum.

MIa gave some great background information about Kidzscience, discussed some success stories, common challenges as well as tips to address those challenges. Eileen gave us some background on how her site implements Science Explorer, while discussing some challenges she has faced and ways she has dealt with those challenges.
