Access free Computer Science resources from code.org & Participate in the National Hour of Code

Computer science is a hot skill that is growing in demand in the workforce, & unfortunately, not many youth get to participate in computer science activities.

In celebrating digital learning, access free computer science resources from code.org & participate in the National Hour of Code. There are a variety of free and available resources available to help you offer high quality computer science activities to your elementary, middle, & secondary students. Hour of Code is an introduction to computer science designed to show that anyone can learn the basics. Code.org provides hour-long tutorials featuring Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Angry Birds, and Plants vs. Zombies — for your computer, tablet, smartphone, or with no computer at all! By participating in the National Hour of Code, you can help make California a national leader in the Hour of Code.

View a brief video here summarizing code.org resources, including how you can access FREE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT to implement high quality computer science activities in your program.

There is no experience needed from teachers & students, & tutorials are available in 30+ languages.
