Next Generation Science Standards for Expanded Learning Programs (Why?)
Introduction
In order to address the challenges of a world we can hardly predict, our students will need to be creative and innovative; utilize critical thinking & problem solving skills, communication, as well as science and engineering skills. STEM learning opportunities in expanded learning programs are an effective vehicle for youth to practice and master the skills they will need to succeed in the 21st Century. The resources on this page will assist expanded learning programs in learning more about new educational standards and how to engage K-12 partners in collaboration to advance new standards.
