STEM Fields and the Gender Gap: Where are the Women?

According to a 2011 report by the United States Department of Commerce, there is a lack of women working in STEM careers and there has been no employment growth for women in STEM fields since 2000. With this alarming news that women are simply not joining the STEM force, Forbes Magazine pinpoints the issue to the lack of girls engaged in science and math in grade school.
