STEM and Professional Learning

With the need for more American students to enter into the STEM field increasing, the need for teachers with the skills and knowledge, to engage students in the STEM field are also increasing. Studies shows that teachers who are a part of professional learning communities (PLC) teach STEM courses much more effectively than those who are not a part of one. With the help of PLCs, teachers can share information and collaborate with one another in order to spark and cultivate student interest in STEM fields.
