CSULB Hosts Engineering Week For Homeless Minority Girls

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) hosted “Engineering Girls – It Takes a Village,” an outreach program where 30 elementary and middle school girls were able to spend a week living in the dorms while learning about college life and engineering from professors and successful women in engineering. The program aspires to expose and inspire young, minority girls to the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through interactive activities such building a rocket launder, learning about under water robotics, and visitiing the Columbia Memorial Space Center.
