Register and tune into “Build, Create, and Innovate: Expanding Access to Maker Programs” on August 29, 2013 at 12 PM EDT for the last webinar of the Summer of Making and Connecting series. The webinar will work with the Association for Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) to explore how to strengthen the afterschool field through partnerships and will feature guest speakers from the New York Hall of Science,  the Idaho Commission for Libraries , the California Department of Education, and the After School Alliance.

This website is a resource clearinghouse developed by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).  Through Senior Corps, Americorps, and Learn and Serve America, CNCS works to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering.  K-adult schools, nonprofit organizations, educators, and youth will find a database of service-learning projects and lesson plans, service-learning guides and best practices, evaluation toolkit, funding sources, webinars, and so much more.

PBS Learning Media

Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) has created PBS Learning Media, a free digital resource library of customizable content for educators.  Once educators have completed the free registration, they will find tens of thousands of free activities available at their fingertips! From math and science activities, to professional development opportunities and webinars, this database gives the user the opportunity to chose the: grade level, subject, media type, resource, state standards, language, etc. to find the activitiies that meet students' specific needs.
